A new trailer for the series Interview with the Vampire, based on the book of the same name by writer Anne Rice, has appeared on the Web. In the video, you can see more fragments from the future film adaptation, including episodes of the transformation of the key characters of the show – a man named Louis and a girl named Claudia. The trailer shows that the series will begin in 1910 in New Orleans.

In this year, the young entrepreneur Louis met the vampire Lestat, who became his “killer, mentor, lover and creator.” Lestat taught Louis to live in the guise of a vampire, to hunt, but, apparently, could not save him from suffering. Nevertheless, men were imprisoned in eternity, where they have no one else but each other.

The premiere is scheduled for October 2, in the first season there will be eight episodes. The show’s creators intend to stick to Rice’s story and detail the lives of the three vampires over the decades. It was produced by Ann Rice herself (she worked on the series until her death in December 2021), her son Christopher, Mark Johnson and Alan Taylor. The latter will direct the first two episodes of the show.
