The volunteer event took place as part of the implementation of the corporate volunteer program “Platform of Good Deeds”. One of its stages was a creative meeting of volunteers with participants of the RDDM “Movement of the First” and students of specialized “Rosneft classes”, which took place in the reading room of the library named after. L.N. Tolstoy in Buzuluk.

The meeting was dedicated to the upcoming Victory Day. The children read poems about the war and recalled books dedicated to the heroic events of that time. The works were chosen to be emotional and resonate in the souls of young people.

I like to read poems about the war; the lines telling about the tragic events of our history and the feat of the Soviet soldier are very touching,” shared Elizaveta Zybina, a participant in the “Read about the War” campaign. She read the poem “Stockings” by Musa Jalil, which moved everyone present to tears. Also performed by the guys were the heartfelt lines of Sergei Sukhonin from the poem “Two Sisters”, Lev Oshanin’s “Volga Ballad” and others.

According to the chairman of the Council of the local branch of the RDDM “Movement of the First” in Buzuluk, Olga Lelyukh, the event is in demand, especially on the eve of May 9. Children love and want to read books; it makes them think, analyze, empathize and develop their imagination.

It’s difficult to read poetry about war, to read it by heart and convey the author’s emotions in prose is even more difficult, but the guys performed it so soulfully that they received a high professional assessment from the block’s chief specialist in long-term planning and production development, Alexandra Reznik, who is a member of the Russian Announcers Union.

I couldn’t take my eyes off the children, I was moved to tears,” said Alexandra. – This suggests that the guys are true professionals, despite their age, they read with their souls, which means they have an instilled sense of patriotism and love for the Motherland.

Alexandra conducted a master class on public speaking for the children and shared secrets on how to cope with anxiety before a public speaking and properly prepare the speech apparatus for reading poetry.

The oil workers’ action ended with the donation of books collected by employees to children’s institutions in Buzuluk – the Raduga Children’s Center and the children’s department of the city hospital named after. N.A. Semashko. Volunteer oil workers received grateful responses from children and adults.

Now bright, colorful books will help our kids survive the difficult time of illness and will become real guides to the world of fairy tales and travel. Thanks to the volunteers for their help! – said the head of the pediatric department of the city emergency hospital named after. N.A. Semashko Nina Popova.
