The meeting took place at the TASS press center, operated by Pobeda26 news agency, on the basis of SSAU. Anatoly Wasserman was given a tour of the university, and he highly appreciated the university library. He was glad that students were working with paper books.

At the same time, the guest himself admitted that he was forced to gradually get rid of paper books in his library, since there was no longer enough space for them in his house. He buys them again digitally and donates paper copies to libraries.

Nevertheless, the TV presenter believes that a paper book has a number of advantages. One of them is that it is easier to leaf through it, returning to something read earlier.

“Of course, you can flip through electronic books, but, for my taste, it’s not as fast and convenient as with paper ones. And the need to go back and reread arises in the process of any reading, because you begin to better understand what you read and better feel what you need to look at additionally. In my opinion, this advantage of paper books will remain for a very long time.”
