Amazon Audible and Pottermore Publishing have announced a new project for Potter fans. The digital publishing house will release a series of audiobooks based on seven original books by JK Rowling, which will feature more than 100 actors.

The project is scheduled to premiere at the end of 2025 on the Audible platform. Audio versions of each part of the “Potter” series will appear sequentially and will be available to platform listeners around the world.

According to official information from the publishers, the new audiobooks will be “immersive audio entertainment, thanks to high-quality Dolby Atmos sound design and a unique approach to scoring.” The publication noted that the audio version will have nothing to do with the famous Warner Bros. films, probably hinting that the actors who played in the franchise films will not take part in the recording.

The Pottermore Publishing project will be the second audio version of Potter. The first was released in 1999 – then fans of the franchise had the opportunity to listen to their favorite books performed by Stephen Fry, the bearer of the standard British pronunciation. At the same time, a version was released performed by actor Jim Dale, who reads with American pronunciation.
