Despite all the problems that AvtoVAZ has faced in recent years, the Russian automobile giant does not seem to be planning to suspend its operations. Moreover, the company shares plans to release completely new models that will not be associated with foreign platforms.
One of them is the Lada minivan, which, according to rumors, may receive the laconic name Van. Daily-Motor.Ru has collected all the details about this promising new product from AvtoVAZ.
Lada Van is positioned as a replacement for the once popular Lada Largus station wagon. Now the project is under the factory code RGH and, according to rumors, does not quite fit into the category of traditional minivans, since the car will have a two-volume body rather than a single-volume one.
The platform for the car will be the modular architecture of the Lada Vesta family. Moreover, from Vesta, the car that will replace Largus will take only the base of the body, while everything above the bottom will be completely new.

A few days ago, one of the top managers of AvtoVAZ confirmed that the new minivan, which Lada engineers are preparing, will have a completely different design compared to the Vesta, and will also have fundamental differences compared to the co-platform in terms of space in the cabin.
It is still difficult to say how Tolyatti is going to ensure an increase in internal volumes, given that Vesta itself belongs to the B – B+ segment. It is possible that they will try to make the car as tall as possible. At the same time, without extending the “chassis”, installing a third row of seats inside will be problematic.

The exact timing of the appearance of the car with the code name Lada Van has not yet been disclosed, but, apparently, it will have to wait at least until mid-2025, or even 2026.
