The 18th Beijing International Auto Exhibition Auto China 2024 has opened its doors to car enthusiasts from all over the world, TASS reports. On the first day of the exhibition, April 25, the event participants, among whom the largest automakers are represented, will organize a series of press conferences in order to present in detail their latest models and concept cars. It is worth noting that the exhibition showcases more than 100 new products from manufacturers from China, UK, Germany, France, USA, South Korea and Japan. Much attention is paid to models using alternative fuels, as well as future prototypes – concept cars. Among the exhibitors, Chinese brands such as BYD, Changan, Cherry, Geely, Haval, and JAC can be noted. In addition, international automotive giants presented their expositions, including BMW, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Tesla and Toyota. According to the results of last year, China came out on top in the world in terms of car exports, overtaking Japan. According to data from national automobile associations, in 2023, China exported 4.91 million cars, while Japan exported 4.42 million. The growth of Chinese sales, especially in the Russian Federation, played a key role in strengthening the country’s position in the global automobile market.
