In China, this car debuted in the summer of 2022, where it is called Haval Kugou and complements the “dog family”, which includes cars with a brutal, angular design, which has so far been represented only by the Dargo model. Now this car will come to the Russian market – already under the name Haval H3. However, our company’s marketers decided not to play with Dargo and came up with a different idea. In Russia, the Troika will be the first model to be sold through a separate Haval Pro dealer network, tailored for off-road models. Subsequently, two more machines will be added to the Pro range. The rest of the crossovers currently on sale (Jolion, M6, Dargo, F7 and F7x) will remain in the existing distribution network, which was given the name Haval City.

As for the Haval H3 crossover, technically it repeats the well-known Jolion: these cars are similar in size and are based on a single modular platform LEMON “Troika” is slightly larger than its brother: the wheelbase is longer by an elusive 10 mm (now 2710 mm), length – by 48 mm (4520 mm), and the width of the machines is almost the same (1875 mm for the H3 model). The most noticeable increase in height is: plus 171 mm (up to 1745 mm). The Haval H3 has 18-inch wheels, a claimed ground clearance of 196mm, an approach angle of 24 degrees and a departure angle of 26 degrees. There are four body colors to choose from.

Boot volume ranges from 493 liters to 1,298 liters with the rear row folded, while the Jolyon’s ranges from 402 to 1,133 liters. The massive bulge on the fifth door is just a strange design element: there is no mount for the spare tire at the stern; the door opens upwards, not to the side. On the front panel there are two displays of 12.3 inches each, climate control is fully touch-sensitive. For small items, the cabin has 27 different compartments and containers. There are two trim levels to choose from (Premium and Tech+), both have six airbags, and the second has a panoramic roof, all-round cameras and adaptive cruise control.

Our Haval H3 is offered only with 1.5 petrol turbo engines, which meet Euro-5 econorms, and a seven-speed preselective “robot”. It is important that the type of rear suspension does not depend on the drive: the H3 in any case has a multi-link, while the Jolion with front-wheel drive is content with a “beam”. In the front-wheel drive version, the engine produces the same 143 hp. and 210 Nm, which is similar to Jolyon. Such a crossover can reach 100 km/h in 11.6 seconds, with a top speed of 170 km/h. Starting price for Premium option – 2 million 599 thousand rubles.

The all-wheel drive Haval H3 with a clutch on the rear axle will have a more complex engine with direct injection and a turbocharger with variable guide vane geometry. Its output is 177 hp. and 270 Nm. Acceleration to “hundreds” takes 9.6 seconds, top speed is 175 km/h. All-wheel drive Haval H3 is offered only in the Tech+ configuration for 3 million 99 thousand rubles.

The start of sales is scheduled for May 15. But at first, the Haval Pro dealer network will consist of only 25 car dealerships, while the Haval City network now includes 146 dealers throughout the country.
