At the Beijing Motor Show, Nissan showed three concept cars at once, which should soon turn into production cars for the Chinese market. A fourth show car was also planned, but they did not have time to realize it in the flesh and were shown only in pictures. All cars were prepared jointly with Nissan’s long-time partner, the Dongfeng concern. And these are the very models that, according to the new development strategy of The Arcshould enter the Chinese market before 2026.

The pictures showed the Nissan Epoch sedan. This is a pure electric car aimed at cities and suburbs, and it has a virtual assistant with artificial intelligence. Although the interior is not ready even in the form of renderings.

The second Nissan Evo sedan is designed for those who like to travel on weekends with the family, and therefore it has a hybrid powertrain with the ability to recharge from an outlet. The Evo is comparable in size to the current production model Nissan Altima. The interior features familiar minimalism and two separate tablets for instruments and media systems.

The two concept crossovers also differ in the type of power plant, although they have the same body. The X-Trail-sized electric Nissan Epic is equipped with city and highway autopilot. In addition, it is capable of powering external electricity consumers, which can be useful during a picnic. There is a perfume sprayer in the cabin.

The Nissan Era crossover has a different design and an e-4ORCE hybrid system with all-wheel drive. Plus, it claims to have “active air suspension.”

All four concepts should turn into production cars in 2026, they will be produced by a joint venture between Dongfeng and Nissan. In this way, in two years, Nissan expects to increase sales in China by 200 thousand cars, and the total increase should be 1 million units worldwide.
