Former Manchester United footballer Andrei Kanchelskis spoke about his apartment in London and his desire to live in Italy.

“I had a lot of expensive gifts and purchases during my playing career. The most valuable gift is a Rolex from Fiorentina President Cecchi Gori. They were very expensive back then, a good watch, and it was clear that it was not a genuine one. If you take my purchases, the most expensive thing is an apartment in London.

The last time I was in England was a year ago, I came to that apartment to visit my children. They do not live in Russia, they have work and housing there. When they want, they will fly to Russia. I’m planning to go to them soon.

If you compare the level of comfort in the British and Russian capitals, it is always more pleasant where there is work. Live in Russia or Europe? In my old age I would like to buy a house in Florence. I absolutely love this small cultural city. Let’s see where life takes us. It doesn’t matter to me where to live, be it Moscow, Abu Dhabi or Bishkek. Where there is work, it is more comfortable. The main thing is to do what you love,” Kanchelskis said in a conversation with Sport24 correspondent Vladislav Shapiro.
