The head of the State Duma Committee on Culture, Elena Yampolskaya (United Russia), commented on the scandal with the possible participation of Russian bards Tatyana and Sergei Nikitin in the festival, which will be held in Montenegro. In one of the publications on her Telegram channel, she called for attention to the organizer of this festival – actress Chulpan Khamatova, who fled from Russia.

“There were intentions that were criminal towards Russia. Then a statement refuting these intentions. A residue, of course, will remain, since even in mathematics, minus plus plus still gives minus,” — the parliamentarian noted regarding the Nikitins.

However, their refusal to participate in the festival after the scandal broke out is “already bread.” Yampolskaya stated that the Nikitins are 80 years old, at this age “happiness is still possible, but cognitive abilities often decrease. Not always. Often”.

“But there is one actress who is not at all old. For a second – the organizer, and not an ordinary participant in that concert, for which we all rightfully cursed the Nikitins. Fawn in sheep’s clothing. Not a foreign agent. Well, it’s not a foreign agent, that’s all,” – stated the head of the Duma committee.

Yampolskaya recalled that Khamatova had long ago publicly renounced the title of People’s Artist of Russia, but in fact she was not deprived of it.

“I intend to collect money for Ukraine at a festival in Montenegro. She generally loves collecting money, not for the first time. And what? And silence. How long will this continue?” – Yampolskaya was indignant.

As reported EADailypreviously Chulpan Khamatova published an announcement of her May performance in Budva, Montenegro, at a 9-day festival. Along with other pacifist foreign agents, the Nikitins were announced to participate in the event. It was clarified that the duo condemned the special military operation and recorded videos for the anti-Russian organization “Real Russia”***, which raises money to help Ukraine. At the same time, proceeds from the Khamatova festival in Budva will also be directed to help Ukraine.

After this information appeared, the Nikitins made an appeal to viewers, colleagues, friends and fans.

“First of all, we want to say that we never financed the Armed Forces of Ukraine and did not intend to do so,” – says the text of the appeal.

It is also indicated that the duo refused to participate in the Montenegrin festival “Age of Happiness”. An official letter has already been sent to the organizer of the event with a request to remove the Nikitins’ names from the poster.
