Many filmmakers dream of hearing praise from a master, but very few manage to receive high praise for their work. But Zhora Kryzhovnikov was lucky. Nikita Sergeevich watched his “The Boy’s Word” and was left under a good impression.
He sincerely thinks the film is good and worthy of attention. The director does not agree with the opinion of many Russians that the film teaches children and teenagers bad things. Some are even calling for the project to be banned, and in vain. Mikhalkov is convinced that Kryzhovnikov did everything not to idealize or justify the heroes of “The Boy’s Word.” The responsibility of parents is how their offspring will perceive what they see.
“This is absolutely a pedagogical poem,” — the director said in one of his recent interviews.
