“The concept of our festival is built around the multifaceted figure of Oleg Leonidovich – he is a violinist, a composer, and an architect. The red line of the festival is the theme of love for the motherland in art. As Oleg Leonidovich said: “I want to do the best that I can for my homeland.” In the year of the centenary of jazz, it is a great happiness and pleasure for us to open our festival. More than 20 concerts ahead. Our mission is to show samples of high genuine art to the general public,” said the artistic director of the festival Petr Lundstrem.
According to him, the concept of the festival is based on all facets of Oleg Lundstrem’s personality. Conventionally, the festival is divided into three blocks. The first is jazz. The second is devoted to classical art and classical music. The third reveals the theme of love for the motherland in art.
Recall that the festival of Oleg Lundstrem is held for the first time in the Trans-Baikal Territory from September 20 to November 12. It is one of the brightest and largest events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Russian jazz.
It is no coincidence that the Trans-Baikal Territory was chosen as the venue for the festival – one of the founders of Russian jazz, Oleg Lundstrem, was born and spent his childhood in Chita. “I am proud that I am a Chita,” he always said.
