French footballer sues coronavirus vaccine developers

--

Former midfielder of Auxerre and the French youth football team, Francois-Xavier Fumou Tamouzo, filed a lawsuit against Pfizer and BioNTech, which developed a vaccine against coronavirus, Zakon.kz reports.

According to France Bleu, the player retired at the age of 29 and now wants to establish a link between his vaccination and several injuries that followed it. At the same time, Tamuzo emphasized that he himself was not sure of the existence of this connection.

The Frenchman was vaccinated in the summer of 2021, after which he suffered from inflammation of the knee tendon and rupture of the Achilles tendon. The player contacted doctors, who suggested that Tamuzo’s injuries could be the result of a side effect of the vaccine. The first court hearing will take place on July 2 in Paris.

Tamuzo is a graduate of Auxerre. He also played for the Portuguese Maritimo, and his last club was the Laval team from the French second division.

Earlier, Vice Minister of Health Aizhan Esmagambetova, on the sidelines of the Senate, explained why the registration of the Kazakh vaccine against coronavirus QazVac by the World Health Organization was delayed.
