Tom Henderson shared previously unpublished information about Assassin’s Creed Hexe, and also revealed the release year of the new chapter.

According to game director Marc-Alexis Cote, this part will differ from previous games in a darker atmosphere.

Hexe has a heavy focus on witchcraft and is set in central Europe during the 16th century Holy Roman Empire.

Tom Henderson reported that Assassin’s Creed Hexe is in a relatively early stage of development and should be released in 2026 directly on the Infinity platform. Hexe is expected to be more linear than previous installments, with a “dark” setting and some open-world exploration elements similar to previous games in the franchise.

The game will have one female protagonist, her name is Elsa and she is endowed with supernatural powers. Henderson stated that he had seen a gameplay clip in which Elsa appears to be being pursued by 16th-century German soldiers, but uses her power to possess a nearby cat and free herself.

Thanks to this power, players will be able to control the cat to distract the soldiers by dropping a glass bottle, after which the girl can safely leave. Sources also claim that Assassin’s Creed Hexe will feature a fear system inspired by Syndicate’s Jack the Ripper DLC, but it’s unclear how it works.
