(18+) Hands on the controls! A selection of games for adults where gameplay is more important than anything else

Adult games are amazing – most of them require the player to actively succumb to enemies in order to gain access to the “main content”. However, there are also those that will make you forget about everything except victory. The projects from this collection surprise with their unusual gameplay – and we have collected them for you in one place.

Eroico

A short but very intense platformer. In it you need to help the Hero defeat the monster girls and put an end to the reign of the demon queen. And although the Hero’s set of skills is small, it is perfectly balanced:

The sword strike doesn’t have crazy combos, but the attack range is great;
If you sit down, the Hero covers himself with a shield. You cannot move in this position, but the shield will protect you from most attacks in front of the Hero;
The ability to bounce can be indispensable against monsters;
Magic attacks allow you to hit enemies from a distance. However, mana reserves are small and are replenished only through rare bubbles and checkpoints

There are plenty of obvious and interesting secrets at the levels – they increase maximum health and add new properties to attacks. Boxes encountered along the way launch the Hero in a given direction and make him invulnerable. If you hit the red box, the Hero will be thrown up and also launch an attack wave. And the launched boulder destroys everyone in its path.

The monster girls signify attacks well, and the bosses make you sweat. On normal difficulty, fighting them is a pleasure. But the difficulty is high… To pass, you will have to remember the location of the monsters; openly mocking ambushes; finding all traps and power-ups; places with boxes and bubbles; order of attacks for bosses. Victory comes with sweat and tears, but it feels completely deserved.

Eroico is an amazing game. It proves that even basic mechanics can be fun – if they’re polished well. She is both honest and dishonest, and mistakes can be avoided with skill and refined movements.

Lustful Spirit Hunt

2D version Phasmophobia. In it, a young man catches otherworldly entities. At the beginning of the mission, you need to determine the room with the ghost and the type of threat. For these purposes, the hunter has a whole toolkit:

Video cameras: allow you to monitor rooms from the safety of your truck;
Flour, motion-sensitive camera, notepad: help determine the type and room of the ghost if left on the floor;
Various sensors and an ultraviolet flashlight: also help with detection, but you have to carry them with you.

After collecting evidence, it’s time to isolate everything unnecessary and identify the enemy. All ghosts have a weakness against a specific hunter’s tool. And if you define a ghost incorrectly, then… some problems will arise. Once caught, a reward is received and a video of the hunt is uploaded for everyone to enjoy.

The game knows how to scare! With every passing second the presence of the ghost becomes more obvious. Paintings fall in the rooms; claw marks appear; water taps are opened; spheres fly. Many girls like to turn off the electricity and then have to run to the generator in pitch darkness. Ghosts vary in their level of aggression, and some prefer to attack almost out of the blue. In this case, you have to hide from them.

Do not pay attention to the fact that the game is in early access. At the moment, she has an impressive collection of ghosts and their habitats. There are riddles, secrets, and the ability to travel through time. The game is perfectly optimized, and during the playthrough it never crashed.

Sakyubasu no Tatakai

A monstrously complex Flash game from an enigmatic developer called GoRepeat. In it you need to help the embodiment of lust take away the power over Hell from the sisters.

The main character can swing a sword and use magic. Defeating regular opponents grants experience, while their enhanced versions need to be seduced and skills drained from them. In battles with bosses, you will have to memorize their attacks and control your movements down to the second. If the story missions are difficult, then additional ones will make the player burn brighter than hellfire – I still cry when I remember the local arena…

PS By the way, this contender doesn’t have any pictures for nothing! Why? Perhaps we’ll leave this mystery to the reader.

Path of the Pixie

A 3D platformer for everyone, where you need to help Pixie bring peace back to the kingdom. The small size of the heroine allows her to jump on grass and leaves, and soar in the air. Her ability to create Pixie Powder increases her mobility and helps in combat.

Combat in the game is turn-based. You need to choose the right order of actions and use the powder to gain an advantage over your enemies. And the enemies you come across are very different: insects, vegetables, an elf, an annoying sheep, and even a pixie queen.

Sacred

A Metroidvania where a peaceful elven village is sucked into Hell. The main character is obliged to save her friends and not allow the demons to discredit herself. A faithful rod and powerful magic will help her in this.

The game has an impressive world map, where the levels hide secrets, captive elves and power-ups. Over time, the heroine will learn new skills that will help her go to previously inaccessible places. The most interesting of them is the creation of platforms that, with the proper skill, will help you jump even to the ceiling.

DepraviA

A ridiculously cruel 21+ platformer, where a gloomy Japanese genius meticulously conveys the misadventures of the main character. We need to help the angel defeat the embodiments of sin and save the world. The angel can fly and throw projectiles. Along the way, she will come across power-ups that change the type of attack. At any moment, she can take on a dark form – this gives an advantage in battle and restores armor, but has a negative effect on the ending. All battles are fast and bloody, and at one point the game parodies “that very scene from Dead Space 2“
