Actor Chris Pine was criticized for his depressing appearance on the red carpet

43-year-old Chris Pine became the star of the premiere of the comedy “The Pool Cleaner” in Los Angeles.

The actor decided to appear in the image of his hero Darren Barrenman and chose exactly the same outfit that he wears in the film.

The fashionable ensemble consisted of a retro beige T-shirt with the words “I love Los Angeles” and a tan blazer with a floral brooch. Pine also donned short denim shorts, chunky boots and colorful sunglasses.

For filming, the actor also grew long hair and a beard.

Not all fans appreciated Chris’s dedication to his image: “When you are 43, but you look 70. It’s sad”, “Where did the once handsome, well-groomed guy go?”, “What happened to him?”, “What the hell is he wearing?” wearing?”, “The film is clearly not very good if you have to go to such measures.”

The Pool Cleaner marks Pine’s directorial debut. The film was first shown at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it received poor reviews from critics.
