In the summer, the Kaluga pontoon bridge is under special control. To ensure security, for example, CCTV cameras were installed on it. Information about this was shared by the municipal economy of Kaluga.

In order not to overshadow the rest of Kaluga residents on the pontoon bridge, it is kept under close supervision. Every Tuesday and Thursday, dirt is cleaned from the water surface, and the bridge itself is cleaned daily. Specialists also check the condition of the channel anchors holding the structure. Security is monitored by CCTV cameras.
In the evening, lanterns are lit on the bridge so that everyone can enjoy the view of the Oka River.
