Sevastopol residents were warned about large-scale work on Admiral Oktyabrsky Street on September 7. As always in such cases, the acting director reported in detail on the progress of the work. Deputy Governor Evgeny Gorlov.
Repair work began the night before.
The work, which caused a number of inconveniences to the residents of Sevastopol, was caused by objective reasons. As ForPost reported in June 2023, a serious crack had developed between the stairs and the retaining wall. At the same time, the wall itself leaned over the road and began to pose a real danger. Therefore, during the survey work, the passage along the stairs on one side (from the side of City Hospital No. 1) was blocked.
On September 7, Sevastopol residents were informed that on the weekend the road to the street. Admiral Oktyabrsky will be completely closed to transport due to emergency restoration work.
Yesterday evening, as Evgeniy Gorlov informed subscribers, part of the wall was dismantled. At the same time, it was necessary to turn off the overhead networks of electric transport and dismantle electric lighting poles.
During the work, we had to reconnect the power poles.
Work on Admiral Oktyabrsky Street continues. Let us remind you that the street was closed for travel for several days. However, it was opened to traffic at 6am today.
