In the first 8 months of 2023, 8 scheduled audits in the field of financial control took place
The day before, November 20, the Tyumen City Duma held a meeting of the standing commission on city public self-government. At it, people’s representatives under the leadership of Stepan Kirichuk discussed measures to combat corruption in Tyumen for 2022-2023.
– I believe that no additional anti-corruption measures need to be introduced. Those defined by 4 federal laws are quite sufficient, especially since they are developed in our regulatory documents. In addition, we and the government of the Tyumen region have strengthened control, including over municipal civil servants. The most important thing is to effectively implement these measures, not only from the point of view of control, but also including the clear independent fulfillment of one’s duties, which are prescribed in the legislation,” said Stepan Kirichuk, Chairman of the Standing Committee.
He noted that strictly observing federal laws is the responsibility of every official. If he is not able to fulfill these requirements, then he should change his occupation. However, in his opinion, every person should look after himself, first of all, and not forget that corruption begins with small things.
In 2022, 18 scheduled inspections in the field of financial control took place, and in the first 8 months of 2023 – 8 scheduled inspections. Civil servants were checked for compliance with the requirements of budget legislation, as well as for the targeted and effective use of municipal property.
