The deputy mayor of Ryazan commented on the concerns of Ryazan residents about replacing special parts on the trolleybus network with outdated ones
On Tuesday, November 21, at a meeting of the regional government, Deputy Mayor Mikhail Romodin commented on the concerns of Ryazan residents about replacing special parts on the contact trolleybus network with outdated ones.
Pavel Malkov read out a comment from Ryazan residents who fear that outdated special parts will be used when replacing the contact trolleybus network. Romodin noted that the contact network is now being replaced on the central streets of the city, where there is a lot of wear and tear. The work is scheduled to be completed by December 20.
“The contractor is now completing the replacement of the overhead wires on Dzerzhinsky Street. Work will continue on Mayakovsky, Tsiolkovsky, Sobornaya, Lenin streets, Pervomaisky Avenue, Teatralnaya Square. In total, about 20 km of wires will be replaced,” Romodin noted.
Romodin did not answer the question of the governor of the Ryazan region about outdated special units. The deputy mayor only emphasized that this year there will be no replacement of special parts to increase the speed of trolleybuses, as this will lead to a significant increase in the cost of work and a decrease in overall volumes.
“The replacement of special parts is partially planned for 2024 as part of the continuation of the repair of the contact network. In addition, I will add that replacing special parts with high-speed ones is not required in all cases. At the moment, existing special units allow transport to move at the speed of the flow,” concluded Romodin.
Let us remind you that at the end of October a tender was published for the purchase of materials for the repair of the contact trolleybus network for 42.3 million rubles.
