In Ulyanovsk, the head of the department, Sergei Mikhailov, met with orphans of the all-Russian community “Children of the Whole Country”

Head of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Ulyanovsk Region, Major General of Justice S.Yu. Mikhailov took part in the strategic session of the All-Russian public organization “Commonwealth of graduates of orphanages “Children of the whole country”.

The meeting was timed to coincide with World Children’s Day, which is celebrated annually on November 20. This day is another reminder to society of the need to protect children and give them the opportunity to grow up happy.

The topics of the event included issues of professional development of orphans, legal and social assistance, and their psychological stability.

The Investigation Department, on behalf of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia A.I. Bastrykin pays increased attention to the protection of the rights of orphans. This is a special category of children who, due to current life circumstances, require special support.

Sergei Yuryevich spoke about long-term cooperation with sponsored orphanages, about the measures taken by employees of the investigative department to restore the violated rights of such children, including housing rights.

Thus, as a result of joint measures of the Regional Government and the Investigation Department, it was possible to increase funding for the purchase of apartments for orphans, as well as reduce the queue for housing. A negligent developer and government officials who committed violations during the delivery of a house for orphans in Dimitrovgrad were brought to justice in criminal cases.

Also, the Major General of Justice told the children about the possibility of entering departmental educational institutions of the Investigative Committee of Russia. “This year, the young man under the care of the investigative department has already entered the St. Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee, which means that the fate of another child is under the control of experienced mentors,” noted S.Yu. Mikhailov.

The chairman of the All-Russian public organization “Commonwealth of graduates of orphanages “Children of All Countries”, member of the public council under the IC of Russia, Albert Maratovich Sarbalayev, spoke about the experience of mentoring. He noted the importance of creating favorable conditions for the successful socialization of orphans and their career guidance.

Presentations and speeches with life examples showed that today there are many tools for educating citizens and patriots of the country who are useful to society.
At the forum, the guys, divided into teams, learned in practice how to work in a team and listen to each other.

The Investigation Department will continue to provide comprehensive assistance to orphans and take active part in their fate.
