A new stage of work has begun on the reconstructed road of Latoshinskaya Street in Volgograd

The road repair is being carried out within the framework of the national project “Safe Quality Roads”.

In the Traktorozavodsky district of Volgograd, road repairs along Latoshinskaya Street continue. Builders have now begun laying a crushed stone base for a new section of the roadway.

– Using special equipment, workers apply a layer of crushed stone to the previously formed sand cushion and the geotextile laid on top of it. Then the specialists will lay two layers of asphalt,” the mayor’s office told Gorodskiye Vesti.

It is extremely important to repair and complete this road, since it is the northern exit from the regional center to the Syzran-Saratov-Volgograd federal highway (R-228).

The repair is divided into several stages. Work is currently underway on the section of the passage from the street. Shurukhina to the Vinnovsky Massif stop, 2.5 km long. The road will be expanded to 4 lanes, exits, sidewalks, and stops will be built.

However, the road is not blocked. First, a new section of the roadway is built. When it is ready, specialists will begin repairing the old canvas.

These works are a continuation of the development of transport links in the northern part of Volgograd, which began with the reconstruction of the road along the street. Heroes of Tula.
