Schoolchildren in grades 1–7 will take part in the competition, which will end in May 2024. Today the boys competed in chess. 260 teams from 58 schools in Kursk participated, which is 780 people.
— With each stage, more and more participants are added. It’s great that many schools are involved in chess, because it allows children of all ages to think strategically. I wish you good luck today, only victories and only forward,” Deputy Head of the Kursk City Administration Sergei Kotlyarov greeted the participants.
The project is being implemented with the support of the Russian movement of children and youth “Movement of the First” and the non-profit organization “Center for Civil and Social Initiatives of the Kursk Region”.
The next stage will take place on December 5 – the guys will compete in swimming.
