The day before at 22:14, a power line was cut off in the village of Grigorovo, which is a suburb of Veliky Novgorod. The Ministry of Housing and Communal Services and Fuel and Energy Complex of the Novgorod Region named the fire at a local integrated transformer substation as the cause.

The fire itself occurred due to damage to the bushings. Currently, 29 private houses (48 people) remain without power supply. Work is underway to dismantle the damaged transformer substation. 2 brigades, 6 people, 3 units of equipment are involved. They claim that the installation of the new package transformer substation will be completed by the end of today.

A diesel generator was installed in Grigorovo during emergency work, the department reported.

Meanwhile, this morning Ilmen Electric Networks informed the population that from 09:00 to 16:00 due to work, the supply of electricity will be stopped in the following settlements:

  • Novaya Melnitsa village (entirely, SZO – d/garden) – for a short time during switching periods;
  • d. Novaya Melnitsa (partially private sector, gardening partnerships) – entirely for the duration of the work.
  • Ermolino village (partially private sector),
  • village Novaya Melnitsa (gardens 4),
  • d. Gorynevo,
  • Berezovka village
