“The driver’s license that the Vologda resident presented seemed suspicious to them. When checking the databases, the police discovered that there was no information about the driver, and the driver’s license number belonged to another person. State traffic inspectors seized the document and sent it for examination. The suspect was taken to the police department for further investigation. The investigation showed that the driver’s license presented was fake.” – said the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Vologda.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Forgery, production or circulation of counterfeit documents). The man could go to jail for up to one year. In addition, he was given administrative arrest for 10 days for driving while intoxicated.
