The SSTU teacher who helped students illegally obtain diplomas turned out to be an employee of the Saratov College of Mechanical Engineering

The prosecutor’s office of the Kirov district of Saratov checked the legality of the issuance of SSTU named after Gagarin Yu.A. diplomas of secondary vocational education. The press service of the regional prosecutor’s office reported this today, November 21.

“It has been established that one of the teachers of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Saratov State Technical University named after Yu.A. Gagarin.” for a monetary reward, assisted three citizens in writing a final qualifying work, and subsequently in defending this work and giving them positive marks at the state examination commission. In connection with this, citizens were issued diplomas of secondary vocational education,” informs the supervisory authority.

The department filed a lawsuit to declare the diplomas invalid and “impose an obligation to destroy them.” The authorities sided with the prosecutors.

“The execution of the court decision is under the control of the prosecutor’s office,” the supervisory authority added.
