A foreigner became the father of a Pskov woman’s child for money in order to obtain Russian citizenship. However, the prosecutor annulled the fictitious paternity, writes PAI with reference to the prosecutor’s office of the Pskov region.
In order to obtain Russian citizenship in a simplified manner, a foreigner agreed for money with a Pskov woman to become the father of her child. The young single mother agreed with the proposal and contacted the registry office to make a record of the paternity of a foreigner in relation to her minor child.
Due to the fact that there were no family legal relations between them, including the rights and responsibilities of parents, the Pskov prosecutor filed a corresponding claim with the court.
The court satisfied the prosecutor’s demands. Information about the child’s father recorded in the birth certificate was declared invalid and excluded from the document. The paternity certificate was also cancelled.
