Training sessions with heads of fire and rescue units were held in Belgorod

As noted by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Belgorod Region, the training program included studying the analysis of the operational response of Federal Border Guard units to fires and emergencies, studying the combat regulations of the fire department and the technical characteristics of the protective equipment in service with the regional units, taking tests, and passing the fire lane of psychological training.

The gathering began with a drill inspection, at which fire department chiefs were checked for documents, appearance, knowledge of drill regulations and job duties.

During the methodological training, the heads of the fire and rescue units overcame the fire zone of psychological training of firefighters, which consisted of a metal fragment of a three-story building, an underground open container with a burning liquid, a fragment of an overpass with a neck from a railway tank container, a ladder over a pit with a burning liquid, a cable collector, metal platform of the overpass with damaged technological equipment, target. The fire lane of psychological training for firefighters is intended to develop and strengthen the special qualities of “psychological reliability” in personnel and develop the ability to maximally mobilize their own capabilities.

In addition, in the practical part of the training session, training was carried out for gas and smoke protection units with the inclusion of personal respiratory protection equipment, and the skills of evacuating conditionally injured people and extinguishing fires in an unsuitable environment for breathing were practiced.

Firefighters also practiced their skills in extinguishing fires using a foam agent. This is a modern mixture that allows you to quickly extinguish a fire and prevent its spread. Stopping the fire and extinguishing it occurs due to the fact that the resulting mass does not allow oxygen to penetrate to the source of the fire. Thanks to this, the fire stops immediately.

Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Belgorod Region for the State Fire Service, Dmitry Khakhalev, noted that such training increases the level of training of the leadership of fire and rescue units in the region, helps improve management skills and allows them to share experience and new techniques in rescuing people and extinguishing fires in different objects.
