In Orel, a client of an online store complained to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.

The buyer purchased a smart watch remotely. Almost immediately it became clear that the watch was of poor quality. However, the seller left the claim submitted by the consumer without satisfaction.

Oryol Rospotrebnadzor filed a lawsuit in order to protect the violated consumer rights.

As a result of the court hearings, the individual entrepreneur was recovered in favor of the consumer the amount of money paid for the goods, a penalty, compensation for moral damage, a fine for failure to satisfy the consumer’s requirements voluntarily, and postal expenses incurred.

The total amount recovered by the court from the individual entrepreneur in favor of the consumer was 13,108.5 rubles.

The court’s decision entered into legal force.
