Governor Igor Babushkin discussed the implementation of the “Clear Sky” project in Astrakhan

The Governor of the Astrakhan Region, Igor Babushkin, discussed in Moscow with the General Director of the Rosseti Yug company Boris Ebzeev the progress and prospects for the implementation in the region of the program to improve the reliability of power supply and the Clean Sky project.

The program to improve the reliability of power supply is designed until 2027; it should cover the entire Astrakhan region. Among the priority measures is the modernization of 35 kV power supply centers, including the Trusovskaya and Oktyabrskaya substations, as well as the reconstruction of overhead power lines.

The “Clear Sky” project of the Rosseti Yug company is expected to be implemented as part of the reconstruction and improvement of the central part of Astrakhan. Sections of power lines for transfer underground, conditions for placing networks and equipment on supports, as well as the procedure for interaction with related organizations during reconstruction have already been determined. Agreements have been concluded for the development of scientific and design documentation for the preservation of cultural heritage sites during the execution of work.

Boris Ebzeev told Igor Babushkin that in the historical center of Astrakhan, power engineers will move overhead power lines underground, which will help preserve the architectural appearance of the Caspian capital. The improvement will take place in several stages until 2026 on Petrovskaya Embankment, M. Gorky, A. Sergeev streets and adjacent alleys of the “Kosa” quarter.

The interlocutors also discussed issues of consolidation of electric grid facilities in the Astrakhan region, tariff regulation and proposals for concluding a regulatory agreement.

Igor Babushkin noted the need for coordinated actions by the authorities and power engineers and expressed readiness to provide the necessary support in the implementation of Rosseti South projects aimed at ensuring uninterrupted power supply to residents of the Astrakhan region.
