More than 2.5 thousand married couples have been reunited after divorce in the Chechen Republic since 2017. ChGTRK “Grozny” reported this on April 23.

Over 7 years, the Commission for the Harmonization of Family Relations identified 5,688 divorced couples, almost half of whom were reconciled and persuaded to reunite. There are 4,890 children being raised in families that went to war.

The Commission for the Reunification of Families Broken Up for Minor Reasons was created in July 2017 on the initiative of Ramzan Kadyrov. It is designed to strengthen the institution of family and traditional values.
