Near Komsomolsk-on-Amur, ice drift has begun; the boundary of the opening of the Amur River now lies downstream just below the City of Youth. During the day, the water rose by 136 centimeters, reports the Khabarovsk Territory Today news agency.

According to the Far Eastern UGMS, despite the shift of the Amur opening border below Komsomolsk-on-Amur, the city continues to face the danger of water rising to unfavorable levels of 450 centimeters.

At the moment, the water level in the city is 344 cm, which is slightly higher than last year’s figures at this time. Ice movements are observed near the village of Verkhnetambovskoye, Komsomolsky district, where the water rose by 125 centimeters in a day.
