The educational and tourism project of Mosturizma “City of Discovery” won in the category “Best project in the field of additional education” of the First National Career Guidance Award “Russia – My Horizons”.

In total, more than three thousand projects took part in the competition. Winners were chosen in 25 categories.

“City of Discovery” is Moscow’s flagship in the field of children’s tourism. The project has been implemented since 2020, during which time more than 10 thousand schoolchildren from all over Russia have joined it. They visited the offices of capital IT companies, leading universities, technology parks, and explored Moscow sights.

More than 100 sites became partners of the project. The “City of Discovery” methodology, which includes trips and career guidance, was implemented in Volgograd, Voronezh, Kogalym, Tobolsk and Tyumen.

In 2022, the “City of Discovery” received the Russian Society’s “Knowledge” award in the “New Horizons” category. Educational projects that talk about new opportunities and prospects in a variety of areas competed for the award. In 2023, the project won the Grand Prix and became the winner in the category “Best Educational Tourism Route” as part of the All-Russian Tourism Award “Route of the Year”.

The first national career guidance award “Russia is my horizons” is held by the Humanitarian Projects Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. She sums up the development of the career guidance movement in the country over five years. Over the years, four million schoolchildren and more than 60 thousand teachers, as well as almost five thousand partners and experts, regional operators, have become its participants.

The Humanitarian Projects Foundation is the operator of the “Ticket to the Future” program for early career guidance for schoolchildren. It is being implemented on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation and within the framework of the national project “Education”.
