Yesterday, April 23, on the territory museum-estate L.N. Tolstoy “Yasnaya Polyana” in the Tula region held a central regional event as part of the All-Russian event “Garden of Memory”. The Tula region became the 50th region to join the action in 2024.

Its participants are cadets, schoolchildren, students, government officials, employees museum-estate – 250 young birches were planted.

— Reforestation plays an important role in continuing the historical memory of Yasnaya Polyana. Every year the scale of the event increases, and we are not going to stop there,” said Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Tula Region Viktor Nashivanko.

Let us remind you that the “Garden of Memory” event is held in the region annually on the initiative of the All-Russian public movement “Volunteers of Victory” and the ANO “Garden of Memory” with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency within the framework of the national project “Ecology”.

The goal of the action is to plant 27 million trees in memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War, as well as all the fallen defenders of the Motherland, including participants of the Northern Military District.
