From April 23 to 27, Veliky Novgorod hosts a football tournament – the Regions Cup.
The champions of the Republic of Karelia, Leningrad, Murmansk, Novgorod, Pskov and Vologda regions will compete for the main trophy.
The Novgorod region will be represented at the Cup of Regions by the team of the sports school “Electron” and the Okulovskaya “Smena”. And if the team of the school “Electron” is a regular participant in the competition, then for “Smena” the performance at this tournament will be its debut.
Today, April 23, football players from the Electron sports school played in the first match of the tournament against the Pskov club. Unfortunately, our players lost to the opponent with a score of 0:7. Okulovskaya “Smena” also suffered defeat in the first round, losing to the “Priozersk” team with a score of 1:5.
Let us remind you that earlier the football players of the Electron sports school won gold in the Mister Veliky Novgorod tournament.
