In the village of Pleshanovo, Orenburg region, a rally-concert “We do not abandon our own” was held, which was timed to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the seniority of the Orenburg Cossack army. The meeting took place within the framework of the project “Everything for Victory!”, which is being implemented by the Yashkinskoe farm Cossack society of the Krasnogvardeisky district.
Last year the Cossacks project won a competition to provide grants to non-governmental non-profit organizations for the development of civil society in the Orenburg region. The grant competition was conducted by the Ministry of Regional and Information Policy on behalf of the regional governor.
The meeting-concert was attended by the head of the Krasnogvardeisky district Yuri Pavlovich Klassen, the deputy ataman of the First Department of the Orenburg Cossack Army for work with youth and the development of Cossack culture Sergei Sergeevich Dubnitsky, the ataman of the North-Western Yurt Cossack society Anatoly Arkadyevich Aldukhov, the ministering priest of the Yashkinsky farm Cossack society father Sergius, Cossacks and school students.
Speakers from the project “Everything for the Front!” expressed gratitude to the district administration for assistance in its implementation. They talked about how, as part of the project, they made camouflage nets and dugout candles, wrote letters to soldiers, and collected humanitarian aid for the front. The plans were implemented ahead of schedule and overfulfilled. The Cossacks thanked their fellow countrymen for their active participation. As the ataman of the Yashkinsky farm Cossack society, Alexander Ivanovich Sova, assured, similar work will be continued.
At the rally-concert, young and adult participants in amateur performances from the village of Pleshanovo performed patriotic songs and folk dances. The distinguished assistants of the Cossacks were awarded the Ataman’s Gratitude and medals “450 years since the seniority of the Orenburg Cossack army”
