Capital enterprises producing cosmetics, perfumes, detergents and soaps increased production volumes by 60.5% during two months of this year. This was announced by Moscow Government Minister, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.

“There are more than 30 factories in Moscow that produce cosmetics, care and hygiene products. They employ over four thousand people. In January-February 2024, these enterprises increased the production of cosmetics, perfumes and detergents by more than 1.6 times. The volume of shipped products exceeded 10.5 billion rubles,” Ovchinsky said.

The Geltek-Medica enterprise, which produces professional cosmetics and gels for functional and ultrasound diagnostics, increased its production in 2024. The production of anti-aging cream increased by 5.5 times, eye cream-serum by 3.3 times, and gel concentrate for the face by 3 times.

Moscow produces various types of detergents and soaps, as well as skin care products, colognes, perfumes, cosmetics – lipsticks, mascara, powders, etc.

In the capital, entrepreneurs have access to more than 20 systemic city support measures and anti-crisis tools that allow them to save money. With the help of city support, they can expand their own production, purchase new equipment, expand their range and introduce innovative technologies.

In 2023, the Moscow Industry Support Fund provided a Moscow cosmetics company with a preferential loan of 100 million rubles at 3% for a period of 5 years. The money was used to purchase equipment, components and raw materials used to produce products for export.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that the capital’s industrial enterprises have more than doubled their production volume over 7 years.

Moscow is a city with developed production. There are over 4.2 thousand industrial companies operating in the capital, employing 725 thousand people. Every year, about 100 small and 40–50 medium and large enterprises open in the city. They produce different products and actively introduce innovations.
