Guests will see elements of equipment: a uniform flannel naval shirt of the 1929 model, a peakless cap with a white ceremonial top and a naval ribbon made of gold leaf. Among the most interesting rarities are the “Crimean Shield” sleeve insignia made in Germany, archival photographs of the destroyed Sevastopol, a 1942 landscape photograph depicting a fascist cemetery in Crimea and a handwritten propaganda inscription “This is the route of the Nazis’ escape from Crimea” on the reverse side.

A separate section of the exhibition will include artistic works on the theme of the liberation of Crimea and Sevastopol. Among the most interesting works is a poster telling about the feat of the Sevastopol sailors who blocked the path of German tanks. Visitors will also be presented with a multifaceted drawing by the Soviet graphic artist and master of political caricature Boris Efimov; it depicts the Crimean peninsula, from which a rat in a German uniform is running away from red bayonets. One of the most striking works of Hitler’s personal enemy (who, according to Goebbels, should have been “found and hanged”) by artist Alexander Zhitomirsky will also be shown – the photo collage “300,000 corpses – this is the price Hitler paid for the ruins of Sevastopol.”
