In Tambov, they began to renovate the mansion of the Alekseev brothers, located on Nosovskaya Street. This is one of thirteen houses that are planned to be renovated this year under the Tambov Region Heritage program.
Currently, the contractor has completely dismantled the roof and rafter structures. He also began to restore the brickwork of the walls, some of which are in unsatisfactory condition.
According to the “Heritage of the Tambov Region” program, the facade and roof will be repaired, while preserving the original appearance of the mansion. The work is scheduled to be completed by early summer.
This building is currently residential. There are retail outlets on the ground floor.
A small brick two-story mansion, built in the last quarter of the 19th century, belonged to the Alekseev brothers. Before the revolution, there were hotel rooms on the second floor and outbuilding. Part of the first floor of the outbuilding was occupied by a storage room and a laundry room. On the far side of the courtyard there were stables and storage rooms.
The symmetry of the facade is broken by the passage arch in the courtyard on the northern side of the main facade. The decor on the plastered main facade is highlighted in white and has nine light axes. The crowning cornice is decorated with narrow niches decorated to resemble a fur coat. In the interior decoration, the spatial planning structure of the interiors in the load-bearing walls, as well as gypsum rods and rosettes, have been preserved.
