“Last Friday, a resident of Saratov came to see me regarding the improvement of the boulevard along the street named after. Rakhova V.G. As agreed, we met with Larisa Viktorovna on the same day. We walked along the boulevard with the Chairman of the Duma’s Standing Committee on Urban Affairs, Vyacheslav Tarasov. We were convinced that the resident’s complaints were well founded, the boulevard is in an unsightly state and needs to be improved. In particular, paint the benches, fill the footpath, sow the lawn, and remove the garbage. They took over the work related to the cleanup. We, deputies, together with employees of the Saratov City Duma, cleaned up the garbage here last week.

Discussing with my colleagues the topic of improving the boulevard along the street. Rakhova V.G., talked about the need to assign a person responsible for this site and other public areas in the city. These could be employees of district administrations or municipal budgetary institutions involved in landscaping. In our opinion, an integrated approach is needed: each specific site or territory must have a specific responsible person.

We agreed with the deputies that we will soon hold an on-site working meeting on the topic of improvement of public areas. We will definitely invite Larisa Viktorovna to it.”
