A little later, at half past seven, on Severnaya Pravda Street, the owner of a Lada Vesta car ran over an eight-year-old girl who was riding a bicycle along a zebra crossing at a prohibiting traffic light. Checks are now being carried out on both facts, the traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kostroma reported.
The State Traffic Inspectorate strongly recommends that parents take the time to review the rules of the road with their children, including by explaining to them the obligation to dismount before crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing, and to ensure that minors ride bicycles under the supervision of adults, especially for younger schoolchildren.
