In Tver, a drunk driver guilty of the death of two girls and a guy appealed the harsh sentence

A fatal accident occurred in Nelidovo.

In Tver, a 20-year-old driver appealed the verdict of the Nelidovsky Interdistrict Court, which found him guilty of a fatal accident and sentenced him to 11 years and 6 months in prison in a general regime colony. In addition, compensation for moral damage in the amount of 2 million rubles was recovered from the young man in favor of each victim. The young man did not admit his guilt.

Let us remind you that a terrible accident occurred early in the morning of June 4, 2023 in Nelidovo, Tver Region, on Matrosova Street. A drunk driver of an Opel Astra lost control and crashed into one of the residential buildings at high speed. The impact was so strong that the car overturned. As a result of the accident, three passengers of the car died – a 21-year-old boy and two girls, 15 and 18 years old.

As reported in the Nelidovsky Interdistrict Court, the appeal will be sent to the Tver Regional Court.
