At the Magadan Polytechnic College, within the framework of the historical and patriotic project “The exploits of our fellow countrymen: Magadan residents are holders of the Order of Courage,” a meeting was held with the holders of the Order of Courage, Mikhail Gennadievich Bazderov and Alexander Nikolaevich Efimov, MagadanMedia news agency was informed at the Magadan Central Bank Library.
The event raised fundamental issues of patriotism, civic duty and service to the Motherland. A separate point was the topic of continuity of the award system of the Russian state. At the event, students gave presentations on the topic: “Awards in my family.” The conversation with the veterans was conducted by members of the association of cultural volunteers “Library Volunteers”.
M. G. Bazderov is a retired police major. A. N. Efimov is a retired police major. Both combat veterans were awarded the Order of Courage during the fight against terrorist groups in the North Caucasus. Veterans shared their experiences with young people, reminded them of the importance of developing their personality, and emphasized the importance of studying their native history.
This meeting was the last in the current project cycle. The result of the project will be the presentation of the printed collection “Kolyma residents – holders of the Order of Courage” in May 2024, which included more than a hundred personalities of fellow countrymen-order bearers.
