During the meeting, the Chairman of the All-Russian political party “United Russia” noted that the combination of state and party resources in the hands of the highest official will allow achieving good results in the implementation of projects and programs.
Dmitry Medvedev added that a serious series of election campaigns will take place in the region this year.
“If it passes under your control as the head of the republic and secretary of the party organization, it will be good. Maybe you will decide to head the list to set an example for our colleagues in United Russia,” Dmitry Medvedev addressed Yuri Zaitsev.
Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak recalled that according to the results of the State Duma elections in 2021, the party did not show the best result in the region.
“At the same time, our deputies retain a majority in the State Assembly of the republic and in the Council of Deputies of Yoshkar-Ola, which will be re-elected this year. I am sure that serious managerial experience will allow Yuri Viktorovich to successfully combine governing the republic and party work. And strengthen the position of United Russia in Mari El,” says Andrei Turchak.
The head of Mari El emphasized that United Russia always supports the positive changes taking place in the country.
“United Russia stands for the preservation of cultural values, support for families, improving the quality of education, and solving housing issues of the population. It is no coincidence that it consists of highly qualified specialists: doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs, agricultural and industrial workers,” noted Yuri Zaitsev.
The head of the region promised that every effort would be made to successfully combine the leadership of the republic and party work.
“We have common goals with representatives of the United Russia party – improving the well-being of citizens, developing infrastructure, and implementing important initiatives. Of course, interaction with other parties represented in the region will continue. We have established good constructive relations with all of them, there are no inter-party disagreements. Together we will be able to more effectively resolve issues that are relevant to residents and change life in the republic for the better,” emphasized Yuri Zaitsev.
The final decision on the election of the regional head as secretary will be made by the conference of the Mari branch of United Russia.
