Nizhny Novgorod veterinarians removed a toy and two coins from an iguana

A ten-year-old iguana was admitted to the veterinary clinic in the Kanavinsky district of Nizhny Novgorod, according to the city’s State Veterinary Administration page on social networks.

“The owners assessed the pet’s condition as serious: refusal to eat for two weeks, depressed state,” the experts said.

During the examination, employees discovered several foreign bodies – specialists removed a caterpillar toy and two coins, one of which had been in the iguana’s stomach for a long time.

“A course of treatment is being carried out,” the message notes.
