On April 23, preparations for the Pushkin holiday, which will take place in almost a month, were discussed in Kaluga, said Pavel Suslov, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Kaluga Region.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Ministry of Culture, Deputy Governor Konstantin Gorobtsov, General Director of the Kaluga United Museum-Reserve Vitaly Bessonov and other members of the organizing committee. During the meeting, they discussed preparations for the celebration of the 225th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin, as well as security and logistics issues, the progress of landscaping the territory near Shchepochkin’s house, where one of the main festive venues will take place.
“We expect about 10 thousand guests on May 25! Everything must be done at the highest level!“, – noted Pavel Suslov.
