Birds of prey have appeared in the Vladimir region.
Residents of Vladimir were amazed at the sight – a crow was eating a dove. The action took place on Gastello Street, not far from a public transport stop.
Apparently, the pigeon died either under the wheels of a car or from another large predator, and the crow pecked at the meat. Meat-eating is common among these birds. Crows feast on wild birds and their eggs, do not shy away from nests, and catch small mammals, reptiles, lizards, and amphibians. Some species eat moles, shellfish and worms. Moreover, crows are not averse to eating insects: grasshoppers, beetles, locusts, crickets.
Earlier in Vladimir, ducks mistook a puddle for a lake. As residents reported, ducks settled in Dobroye, but they did not fly to the pond at all, but to a puddle behind the RusKino cinema. Oil painting – a pair of ducks swims across the vast expanses of water. And you can’t even tell from the photograph that the body of water is a puddle and not a city pond.
