Soon the most joyful and bright holiday for all Orthodox Christians will come – Easter. On this day, the whole world is filled with a special atmosphere of joy, hope and love. In Kurgan on Easter Day, May 5, the Easter Festival will take place on Trinity Square.
At 12:00 on May 5, next to the Holy Trinity Cathedral, a theatrical opening of the holiday will take place, which will delight Kurgan residents and guests of the city with bright performances and interesting surprises.
On this festive Sunday on Trinity Square, everyone will be able to try a fragrant Easter cake and paint a large festive Easter egg. In addition to colorful performances and treats, the Easter Souvenir fair of folk arts and crafts will take place here. At the fair you will be able to find unique handmade products from Trans-Ural craftsmen and buy gifts for your loved ones.
At the festive event, everyone present will find something to their liking. Young spectators will be able to spend time on the playground. Representatives of municipal districts will demonstrate festive tables with treats, decorated with love and warmth. The main event will be a competition for the largest Easter cake, where participants will be able to show their talent and skill. Everyone will be able to take part in interactive programs organized by cultural institutions.
As part of the Easter festival, starting from 12:30, the winners of the I Open Regional Festival of Orthodox Culture “Easter Chime”, organized by the Kurgan Regional House of Folk Art, will perform at a gala concert.
A unique concert program in honor of Easter with the participation of Honored Artist of Russia Viktor Sorokin and the Moscow Song Theater “Yar” will take place from 15:00 to 16:00 before the service in the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
