In the region, they are inspecting courtyards and public spaces, the improvement of which has been carried out over the past two years under the “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” project. The commission includes specialists from relevant departments, deputies and social activists.
The events are being carried out on behalf of Governor Alexey Russkikh; they will last throughout the warm period – from April 15 to November 15. The quality of transformation of the urban environment is assessed by employees of the relevant department of the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities and Construction, deputies, Popular Front activists, local administration specialists and residents.
The commission has already visited Inza, Barysh, Novoulyanovsk, Surskoye, Karsun, Sengilei, Silikatny, Ulyanovsk and Dimitrovgrad. The territories that were renovated under the national project “Housing and Urban Environment” were inspected, including objects that were winners of the All-Russian competition for improvement in small towns and historical settlements.
According to the co-chairman of the regional headquarters of the ONF, Alexei Sitnikov, 70% of the work was completed with high quality. Common defects include rust on trash cans, paint coming off benches, cracks on sidewalk paths, and the presence of dead trees in yards.
Comments must be eliminated within the framework of warranty obligations by contractors.
This year, thanks to federal support and regional funding, almost 200 yards in Ulyanovsk, Dimitrovgrad, Inza, Barysh, and Novoulyanovsk will be renovated as part of the new “My Yard” project. Also in seven cities, it is planned to renovate 16 public spaces; options for their improvement were determined by the residents themselves during an all-Russian vote last year.
