Almost five thousand people on the waiting list moved to new apartments under the renovation program

Since the beginning of the renovation program in the capital, over 960 families on the housing register have received new housing. This was announced on Wednesday, April 24, by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of City Property, which is part of the Complex of Urban Planning Policy and Construction of the City of Moscow, Maxim Gaman.

— In the first quarter of 2024, 235 people from 48 families improved their living conditions by moving to new buildings under the renovation program. Most of these citizens received apartments in the east, southeast and north of the capital. In total, since the beginning of the program, more than 4.7 thousand people on the waiting list from 963 families have moved into comfortable apartments,” he said.

According to the head of the Moscow Department of Urban Development Policy, Sergei Levkin, in the first quarter of this year, the city began relocating 6.7 thousand residents from 40 houses.

Over 160 thousand residents of the capital began moving to new housing under the renovation program. Since the beginning of the program, 307 houses have been put into operation throughout the capital. Currently, 472 buildings, or nine million square meters of housing, are in operation.

Recently, 260 residents of a five-story building in the Tsaritsyno district began moving to a new building on Proletarsky Prospekt. The building has 116 apartments, two of them are equipped for people with limited mobility.
